Last weeks walking trip to Lake Merritt was a fun learning experience. I had no idea that there was so many storm drains clogged with trash. I came to the conclusion that there’s not enough trash bins near the storm drains which is why people throw trash on/near them. There should also be a little sign that tells people that there is a storm drain. Everyone got along great and participated.
This week we got counted off into teams to brainstorm ideas for a project. We then went outside to play a game that’s basically like “Red light green light” except it was tweaked. We then went back in and discussed ideas for the zero litter project were working on.
I’m excited to help our environment all while building friendships with great people who want to do the same things. I love to help so when this opportunity to help the environment was presented to me I jumped on it head on.
